Categories of Awards
The Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS) presents recognition awards annually to selected members of the Society to acknowledge the contribution of those members. Awards are given to individuals as well as branches, covering newsletters & articles, long term members and participation in special projects.
Given by the AGS President for the most outstanding achievement by an AGS member for the year or to a branch that has celebrated twenty or more years as an AGS branch.
An award to recognize excellence in AGS branch newsletters either for the Best Branch Newsletter, the Best Local Content or the Best Original Article.
The Peter Staveley Memorial Award is presented to an individual who has contributed excellent material for publication in Relatively Speaking.
An award to be given to a member or non-member who has assisted AGS in reaching its objectives.
An award given to an individual for participating in an AGS special project to commemorate Canada's 150th birthday.
An award given for twenty-five (25) accumulated years of membership.
A privileged award given to members who have made a critical contribution to the Society, or allowed the Society to maintain its objectives. Find out who....
