Grade Five students from St. Thomas Aquinas School in Alberta completed posters on their Indigenous or Immigrant Family History. The Alberta Genealogical Society awarded certificates to 48 students in a presentation at the Edmonton Art Gallery, attended by nearly 210 people. Lynne Duigou, from the Society, highlighted the value of understanding family origins. Teacher Marion Rex Howard led the project, involving 150 students across six classes. Sponsored by the Art Gallery of Alberta, the posters were displayed for a month. The students researched various countries, and their work will be exhibited until the end of April.
